SelectOrganic’s overall objective is to develop breeding programs tailored for organic farming of European sea bass, gilthead seabream, rainbow trout, and Atlantic salmon. The project will uphold high animal welfare standards and aim to improve resilience, disease resistance, product quality, and resource efficiency. Another focus is on enabling fish to utilize a greater share of alternative feed materials, contributing to sustainable resource use and biodiversity protection.
