EFFAB welcomes EU Livestock Strategy
07 July 2026The European Commission has published its long-awaited EU Livestock Strategy, outlining a vision for the future of sustainable, resilient and competitive livestock farming in Europe.
The European Forum of Farm Animal Breeders (EFFAB) is particularly pleased to see several of its key priorities reflected in the final Strategy, as well as the recognition of animal breeding as a fundamental part of the solution to the challenges of the sector.
The publication of the Strategy marks an important milestone, but it is also the beginning of the next phase. Continuous efforts are needed if we want to pass from recognition to implementation.
