EFFAB at the FAO Intergovernmental Meeting on Animal Genetic Resources

Rome, 20 - 22 November 2024 

Çağla Kaya, EFFAB’s EU Program Manager, represented EFFAB at the 13th Session of the FAO Intergovernmental Technical Working Group on Animal Genetic Resources.

During the Meeting, Çağla showcased EFFAB’s progress on Code EFABAR, supporting local breeding programs, and shared insights from ongoing research projects.

Discussions included the Global Plan of Action, data management via DAD-IS, genetic resources’ role in climate mitigation, and preparing the Third Report on Animal Genetic Resources.

EFFAB remains committed to sustainable breeding and preserving Genetic Diversity for future generations.
